General Election
A General Election is the election in which federal and state officers, members of Congress and of the general assembly, county and township officers, and other officers appear on the ballot. General Elections are held the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November of each even-numbered year.

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Pre-registration deadline for voter registration closes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022. Person(s) wishing to participate in this election who register to vote after October 24, 2022, will need to register at the polls on election day or vote in person at the Auditors office. Identification will be required (current & valid photo ID card with an expiration date, example Drivers License or State ID).                                                                                    AND proof of residency in their voting precinct (if Driver's License does not have current address).         

If you intend to register and vote on election day, please be patient with the poll worker, due to the extra processing it takes to complete this process at the polls on election day.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REMINDERS:

Þ Tuesday, August 30th is the first day to submit an absentee ballot request.

Þ Wednesday, October 19th is the first day to vote absentee in the Auditor’s Office & the first day absentee ballots may be mailed.

Þ Monday, October 24th at 5 p.m. is the deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed.

Þ The Auditor’s Office will be open Saturday, November 5th 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for absentee voting purposes.
